What's the difference between your social media and McFly?

In 2005 McFly released a hit, that to this day, is still one of my feel good songs. It's got lots in common with your social media accounts - it's upbeat, it features those you love and it's a massive hit! However there is one thing that your social media and this McFly tune don't have in common...


It's not all about you!


'It's all about you' started playing via my Alexa last week as I was working on social media posts and it made me think. As much as we love to talk about ourselves, our social media should not be all about us!


Our social media should contain aspects of ourselves, it should say who we are, what we do and why we do what we do - but it should also talk to our ideal client. It should provide value, help with pain points and create an understanding of each other. Our social media should contain testimonials about our clients, it should feature top tips and advice for others and reels that are engaging and educational.


So, when you are sitting down to write out your social media posts this week, remember...


It's not all about you!
